Rainbow Express Ministries is a day program for young adults with disabilities, and their CEO Lori Little says “The time we have we have together, we like to spend building meaningful, impactful lives.” The group devotes every Wednesday to community service.
One way they do that is by making 400 sandwiches a month for Roof Above’s Operation Sandwich program. One participant calls herself, “Bri the Cheese Lady,” because her favorite step is adding cheese to each sandwich. “I like to help other people out,” Bri says. Over the past five years, Rainbow Express has made approximately 24,000 sandwiches, helping a lot of people out!
The group also prays over each sandwich and writes notes of encouragement and blessings on each Ziploc bag before they are delivered to the Day Services Center.
Despite facing obstacles of their own, the young people at Rainbow Express Ministries turn their attention to helping others, and in doing so, they turn their prayers into action. Thank you for including Roof Above in your meaningful, impactful lives!
