Group Opportunities

Donating your time and talents to a group can create an unmatched sense of camaraderie while helping neighbors who are vulnerable and experiencing homelessness.

SANDWICH & BAGGED MEALS PROGRAMS:

Roof Above gives out 300 bagged lunches daily for over 100,000 per year.  This opportunity is a great way for volunteers, regardless of age, confidence level, or size of the group, to participate in helping our neighbors.

The support of our community helping supplement these meals for our neighbors makes a HUGE impact to our mission here at Roof Above. Thank you for wanting to help join in the sandwich and bagged meals programs, please see below for more information.

Harvest Haul

Most Saturdays, donated produce is collected from the CLT Regional Market and the Uptown Farmers Market.  Volunteers set up the Roof Above bins in the morning. At the end of the market, volunteers transport the full bins to the Tryon Shelter at 1210 N. Tryon Street (must be 18 years or older).

On Sundays, we seek volunteers to chop vegetables at our N. Tryon Street Shelter. To work in the kitchen, all volunteers must be 18 years old or older and be fully vaccinated.
